Burma, China
- Continue to keep the Kachin ethnic hill tribe people and children of Burma held close in prayer as they flee fighting between the Burma Army and Kachin rebels. Pray for the 7,000 people who have set up tents and shelters in the jungle along Burma’s with China. Pray for the thousands who have taken refuge in rebel camps and for those who have crossed the border into China.

Sudan, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic
- Give thanks to God for the work of the volunteers, staff, and evangelists with The Sudan Project of Basic Ministries International. Pray for the evangelists who work to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to a target area of Sudan, and the borderlands and refugee camps of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic. Please pray that each child in this region may hear about the redeeming love of Jesus Christ.
- Pray for the members of the 100 churches in these areas who also work to promote the gospel message. Please pray that God will provide the resources needed to continue this work.
- Pray also for the members of the new Southern Sudan government as they prepare for their country’s independence next month. Pray that they will prioritize funds to provide free education for all children and youth in Southern Sudan. www.basicministries.info

- Please pray that God will watch over all children who are out of school for summer vacation. Pray for children who are on the streets of their communities much more now that they are out of school. Please pray that drivers will be more alert to children out and about this summer.
- Keep the family of 7-year-old Michael Fetzer held close in prayer as they mourn this little boy. Michael ran into the street and was hit by a pick-up truck and later died of his injuries. Give thanks to God that Michael’s parents chose to bless others by donating his organs. Pray for the 11-year-old girl who received Michael’s heart.
- Pray for children who have little supervision during the summer months. Pray for those who don’t have enough to eat now that lunch programs are finished for the school year. Thanks be to God for the community programs throughout the U.S. designed to help provide safe summer experiences for children. Give God thanks for programs that feed hungry children during the week and provide backpacks of food for the weekends.

- Give thanks to God for the staff and volunteers with the Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV) as they kick off a five week camp for youth from at-risk backgrounds. Pray that the adult camp staff will stay healthy, have wisdom in dealing with the situations that may arise, and be excellent role models in all of their relationships.
- Please pray for the boys who attend this camp—that they would embrace the mission of RBTV and that they might be drawn into the camp culture that affirms each camper and teaches love, peace, patience, and humility.
- Pray that 13-year-old Owen, who is attending for the first time, will transition smoothly into life at this camp. Pray that God will remove the physical limitations Owen has so he may be fully immersed in camp life and learn all that God has for him during this experience. Pray for his family at home as they are concerned about Owen’s adjustment at this camp.
- Please pray for 15-year-old Barrett who is also going to RBTV camp for the first time and who has just been diagnosed with celiac disease. Pray that Barrett’s special dietary needs will be given priority by the kitchen staff and that they will be able to prepare gluten-free foods for him. Please also pray that this shy young man might have a great camp experience. - Please keep Frances, the mother of Faces of Children prayer partners Judy and Susie, in prayer as she recovers from complications following surgery. Pray for God’s healing touch to be upon her and that God will bring comfort and peace to Frances and her daughters.
