China
- Pray for the thousands of workers, villagers, and children in nine of mainland China’s 31 province-level regions who have been exposed to toxic levels of lead by pollution from battery factories and metal smelters over the last several years. Pray for China’s generation of children who’ve been affected by lead contamination.
- Pray that local officials will respond constructively to the mass lead poisonings instead of arbitrarily limiting lead testing, withholding or manipulating test results, denying proper treatment to children and adults, or trying to silence parents and activists. Pray that industry safeguards will be implemented and enforced consistently.
- Keep 3-year-old Tiantian and her parents held close in prayer during this difficult time. Tiantian’s father learned in March that his daughter had absorbed enough lead to hurt her nervous system and permanently damage her brain function. Please pray that God will bring healing and peace to Tiantian. Pray that God will comfort her parents who worked hard to provide for their only child and are devastated by the news of her illness. http://tinyurl.com/43qtwbo

Give God thanks that the unrest has eased since the former president was captured in April.
- Pray that children still living in IDP (internally displaced persons) camps will be able to go to school now. Please pray that God will provide qualified teachers, school supplies, teaching materials, and the resources families need to send their children to school. http://tinyurl.com/3v339uz
Pakistan
- Continue to keep the children and people of Pakistan in prayer as they brace for the annual monsoon season. Pray for those who are still trying to put their lives back together following last year’s devastating monsoonal flooding that submerged one-fifth of the country. That flooding lasted almost three months and affected more than 18 million people. Pray God will provide for these flood survivors as another rainy season arrives. Pray that the government and humanitarian organizations will be well prepared for this new monsoon season. http://tinyurl.com/6xzpp9e
Puerto Rico
- Please pray for the children of Puerto Rico who have been affected by the rising murder rate on the island. Almost half the murders in Puerto Rico are connected to fights over territory by drug traffickers. Pray for children and families who feel unsafe in their homes and neighborhoods because of the drug-trafficking violence. Pray that God will bring comfort and peace to children who see this carnage every day. http://tinyurl.com/635pbb4

- Please pray for an end to the illegal drug-trafficking industry. Pray that the insatiable demand for drugs will cease and that God will bring healing to those who are trapped in addiction.
