- Please keep Lois in prayer as she awaits the birth of her baby while hiding from the birth control authorities. Lois was denied a birth permit and is being hunted by these officials who have threatened to take her apartment away unless she pays an exorbitant fine or gets rid of the baby. Pray that Lois will have a safe delivery and a healthy baby—the hospital refuses to admit her since she doesn’t have a birth permit.
Haiti, Brazil
- Give thanks to God for YWAM Belo Horizonte in Brazil, a ministry that works with children in need. Pray that God will be with the staff and volunteers of this ministry as they serve street children, orphans, abused and neglected youth, and children with special needs. Pray for God’s healing presence to be with Johan as he has been very ill and was hospitalized for a while. Pray that his recovery is complete so he can continue the work God has in mind for this YWAM staff member. Pray for the children with whom he works and serves.
- Thanks be to God for the school that’s being offered to 50 to 100 young Haitians that will train them to become agents of change in their communities. The school’s focus is on community development, protection of at-risk children, and education. Pray for Johan and his wife Jeannette as they lead this school in Haiti. Pray for good health and the energy to lead and teach classes in this school for three months.
India
- Pray for the girls and young women of Orissa State in India who have been abducted and trafficked into prostitution or slavery. Pray for Christian girls who are especially at risk of being trafficked. The outbreak of violence against Christians in Orissa in 2008 displaced thousands of people and left women and girls very vulnerable to traffickers. Pray for an end to violence against Christians in Orissa and throughout India.
- Give thanks to God for the rescue of 16 girls from traffickers. Pray for raised awareness about the problem and for the protection of vulnerable young women and girls.
- Thanks be to God for the work of Catholic charities and other organizations that combat trafficking in India and provide shelter and assistance to girls and women who have suffered abuse at the hands of traffickers.

India, Nepal
- Please keep Faces of Children prayer partner Franklin and other staff members of the Treasure Commission ministry held close in prayer as they travel and teach in India and Nepal. Pray for safe travels and smooth passage through areas that are hostile to Christian teachers and leaders. Pray for those who will receive the training…that God will bless them with understanding and a passion to share what they learn.
- Continue to keep team leader Prakash and his wife Asha in prayer as they care for the 16 children in their orphanage. Please pray for these children and young people as they continue their schooling. Pray that God will provide the resources needed to care for and nurture all of these children.
United States
- Please continue to keep 2-year-old Lane in prayer as doctors try to determine what is causing his seizures. Pray that they will be able to accurately diagnose and treat Lane. Pray for peace and comfort for his parents and family.
- Pray for Aubrey and Zoey’s father Mikey who is in desperate need of a liver transplant but has no health insurance and cannot afford the operation. Please pray for God’s healing touch upon Mikey—he won’t be placed on a transplant list unless he has insurance or a way to pay for the operation. Pray that God will provide the material and spiritual resources this young father so urgently needs. Pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding to bless Mikey, his wife, and two young daughters.
- Give thanks and praise to God for answering prayers concerning baby James, his mother, and his father. After months of being apart, James’ family was reunited in the United States. James’ father had been working to get his wife and son to the U.S. and out of Malaysia where they had been vulnerable to being trafficked or abused. Thanks be to God for getting this Burmese hill tribe family safely out of Southeast Asia and back together again. Pray that their family will be strengthened through this experience.
