China
- Give thanks to God for the lives of 1-month-old Precious and 5-month-old Esther. Both baby girls were abandoned by their parents, probably because they had significant medical needs, and brought to Salvation Orphanage where they died. Thanks be to God that the last few days of their lives were at the orphanage where they were treated with love and compassion. Pray for the pastor and his wife who cared for them.
- Please pray that God will sustain this exhausted pastor and his wife who also care for 24 children in their home. Pray that God will provide the resources needed to tend to these children and others that are brought to them. Thanks be to God for the compassionate hearts of this pastor and his wife!
- Pray for the children in their care—many of them were literally thrown away by their parents or left on the steps of the house church/orphanage and have major medical needs.
Haiti
- Please keep the children and people of Haiti held close in prayer as cholera has broken out in the central rural regions around the Artibonite River, 60 miles north of Port-au-Prince.
- Pray for the families of the 250 people killed by this rapidly spreading, acute bacterial infection. Pray for God’s comfort and peace during this difficult and frightening time.
- Pray that medical treatment will reach the more than 3,100 people with confirmed cases of cholera and also those who are still undiagnosed. Pray for quick diagnoses so that the proper treatment can be administered immediately.
- Pray that treatment centers will be established throughout the affected area and in Port-au-Prince as the disease spreads. Pray for all health workers who are responding to this emergency…that God will guide and protect them in this crisis period.
- Pray that sufficient resources like soap and water purification tablets will be available, as well as country-wide public safety education about hygiene. http://tinyurl.com/26v9r68 http://tinyurl.com/36kspsb
- Give thanks to God for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Haiti for their quick response to the cholera outbreak in St. Marc. Pray for the protection of all their workers and volunteers in the area as they assist with this health emergency, transporting the sick, distributing purified water, and educating people about sanitation. Pray for peace in the countryside and for protection for those who live in the high risk areas that may not have access to clean water. http://www.ywamhaiti.org/

- Pray especially for the ministry leader, Pastor Peace Katulege, as he mourns the recent death of his 35-year-old wife and ministry partner Alice Nyago Peace. Pray that God will comfort Pastor Peace and his five children. Pray for a community of support to surround this grieving family and help Pastor Peace in his work with children affected by HIV/AIDS.
- Pray that God will provide the resources needed for this ministry to continue to care for 780 children who have been orphaned because of HIV/AIDS. http://twoworldsinitiative.

United States
- Please continue to keep 10-year-old Elizabeth, a special needs child, in prayer as she recovers from her recent heart surgery. Pray that Elizabeth will be able to communicate her wants, needs, and discomforts and that her parents and other caregivers will be able to discern those clearly and address them fully. Pray for Elizabeth’s complete healing…she is still in great pain and has been running a fever. Pray that God will fill Elizabeth and her parents and family with peace during this difficult time.
- Pray for teenagers and young people affected by dating violence, including threats, stalking, or harassment via technology like text messages, cell phones, emails, and social networking sites. Pray for those who use advances in technology to harm, coerce, or intimidate. Pray that students, parents, and school personnel will become more aware of this aspect of dating violence and will know how to respond to digital and physical dating abuse. Nationally, one in 10 high school students reported being physically abused—being hit, slapped, or hurt—by a boyfriend or girlfriend in the previous year, according to a recent federal survey. http://tinyurl.com/3yeqnls
