Please pray for a
miracle of healing for 2-month-old James who recently had surgery to repair
severe aortic stenosis and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), conditions that
affect the blood flow out of his heart. http://tinyurl.com/42pepay http://tinyurl.com/3zs2h85
o
Give God thanks
that James survived this difficult surgery and that his doctors were able to
successfully repair his aorta and close the PDA. http://tinyurl.com/8wjyakf

Pray James, who
was abandoned at the foot of a mountain on the day he was born, will gain
strength and that his kidneys will begin functioning. Pray James’ lungs will
heal from an infection caused by being on a ventilator so long. Without a
miracle, James doesn’t have long to live. http://tinyurl.com/c4v8ysl

Continue to pray
for 2-month-old Annabel who also survived surgery recently to repair a severe
esophageal and tracheal deformity. Give thanks to God that she is stable now.
Pray her left lung, which had collapsed due to an infection, will begin
functioning again. Pray for Annabel’s complete healing so she might be able to
eat instead of receiving nutrition through an IV. http://tinyurl.com/8orgrcn http://tinyurl.com/d4e5cej http://tinyurl.com/c4v8ysl

Pray for 9-month-old Lydia who had heart surgery last week and is doing
very well. Lydia was abandoned at the gate of a local orphanage and, shortly
after, was diagnosed with several severe birth abnormalities. She had her first
surgery when she was less than a month old. Thanks be to God that Lydia is
receiving such good care at New Day Foster Home and, through them, the
opportunity for surgeries that will greatly improve her quality of life. http://tinyurl.com/d4xqvo7 http://tinyurl.com/c4v8ysl

·
Please keep the
disabled children receiving treatment at the CURE International Hospital in
Honduras held close in prayer. Pray especially for a 13-year-old boy named
German. http://cure.org/hospitals/honduras/
Niger
·
Pray for the
girls of Niger (a country that has the highest rate of child marriage) who are
now more vulnerable to being married at a young age because of the hunger
crisis in their country. Approximately one out of two girls is married before
the age of 15. http://tinyurl.com/czpwwkm
·
Pray for girls from
poor families who are used as commodities to help their families survive. Pray
for girls married into more affluent families for the larger dowries those
families can provide. Pray for those sold into “marriage” to settle debts and for
girls married at a young age, sometimes as young as 7 years old, to ensure
their virginity. Pray for girls who are married off early in order to unite
families and communities.
·
Please keep in
prayer girls who experience severe medical conditions because their bodies
haven’t matured enough to bear children. Pray for girls who have developed
obstetric fistulas, a condition caused by the unborn baby becoming stuck in the
pelvis, cutting off the blood supply, and leaving the girl unable to control
urination or defecation. The baby usually doesn’t survive. http://tinyurl.com/9vdee7
·
Give thanks for
the Niger government’s legislation that outlaws marriages before age 15. Pray
for a change in the ancient tribal codes and conservative religious views that
encourages the early marriages of girls. Pray girls will have the opportunity
to remain in school and receive a full education.
Faces of Children
·
Give thanks to
God for answering prayers about 3-year-old Kiah and her 5-year-old brother Aven,
the grandchildren of a Faces of Children prayer partner. Both children were
removed from their mother’s custody because of her substance abuse problems and
were placed with an aunt who lives in another state. Thanks be to God these two
siblings are doing so well and that they were recently adopted by this aunt.
·
Pray for Kiah and
Aven’s mother who is still struggling with addiction and mental illness and has
recently lost custody of two younger children, 2-month-old Lily and 1 ½
-year-old Tristan. Pray for God’s healing touch upon this young mother who is
now in an acute care facility.
·
Please keep Lily
and Tristan close in prayer as they are now in foster care. Pray they will be
placed in a safe and loving environment.
·
Pray God will
comfort Kiah, Aven, Lily, and Tristan’s grandmother who is so upset by this
difficult situation. Pray for reconciliation, healing, and peace in their
family.
