Haiti
- Please continue to keep the children and people of Haiti held close in prayer as they brace for the start of the storm season on June 1. Pray for the estimated 1.3 million people who are homeless and dependent on international aid—approximately 450,000 are children. Pray that vulnerable children and families will be removed from low-lying areas and provided safe shelter.
- Pray that reconstruction efforts will be well-planned and coordinated making it a better place for children to grow up. Pray that the Haitian government and its relief partners will be able to formulate a well-defined plan for reconstruction. Pray for peace and patience throughout Haiti during this process.
Please pray for the 600,000 internally displaced people who have fled the capital of Port-au-Prince for the impoverished countryside. Pray for those poor families who are providing help to their newly arrived, poor relatives from the damaged city.

Morocco (Village of Hope—http://www.voh-ainleuh.
- Pray for the 33 children, their house parents, and the staff of the Village of Hope children’s home in Ain Leuh, Morocco as they cope with the unexpected and devastating orders of the Moroccan government. Several weeks ago, the government evicted all Village of Hope foreign workers on the grounds they were proselytizing, yet failed to produce evidence of this.
- Please pray that God will comfort and protect the children who were traumatized by this situation and are grieving for their house parents and siblings. Many of these children have been with their house parents for 10 years. Pray for the foreign workers who were deported at such short notice—that God will provide for their needs as they work to be reunited with their Village of Hope children in Morocco.
- Pray for a swift and just resolution to this situation. Pray for the government authorities in Morocco as they make decisions in this case. Give God thanks that no staff, house parents, or children were mistreated during the eviction process and that Moroccan authorities brought outside caregivers in to help with the children.
Uganda
- Pray for the children and families affected by landslides in the Bududa region, northeast of Kampala. Heavy rain caused a series of landslides in this mountainous region and destroyed houses, shops, and churches. Pray for those who cannot find family members or friends buried in the mud. Roads are damaged and impassible making it very difficult to get heavy rescue equipment into the area. Pray that God will provide comfort and the resources needed to cope with this disaster. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/
