- Please continue to pray for the children of Kenya who suffer because of the persistent political and ethnic conflict and violence. Pray for peace in this troubled region.
- Pray for the 600 displaced children who have come to one of the Kids in Kenya orphan feeding sites. Pray that these children will have sufficient food every day to grow strong and healthy. Pray for the health of all these children and for their safety.
- Please pray for a loaves and fishes miracle—that the Orphan Feeding Program will meet the needs of all these frightened and hungry children.
- Pray for the workers and volunteers with Kids in Kenya—that God will encourage and sustain them through this challenging time. Please pray for their health and safety, as well.
- Pray that the ministry of Kids in Kenya will receive the support it needs to meet the growing needs of all these children.
- Pray also for the ministry of CURE International in Kenya. The organization has been forced to cancel mobile clinics throughout Western Kenya because of the violence. Pray for the disabled children who were scheduled for surgeries, but who were not able to make it to the hospital because of the conflict.
- Pray for the children in refugee camps who are sick and growing sicker because of the conditions there. Give thanks to God for the staff from CURE International who risk their safety to minister to the disabled children in these camps. Pray for their safety and health.
Uganda
- A number of young girls have passed through this centre and found some practical help through skills acquisition such as candle-making, cooking and knitting. Some of these girls (about 15 of them) have had opportunity to profess their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Thank the Lord for the advocacy, care and support of this ministry.
- Pray that the girls who have found Christ will continue to serve Him faithfully, and that the Spirit of God will continue to work in the hearts of those who have not yet done so as they seek to rebuild their lives.
- Pray for five-month-old Samuel and his HIV/AIDS positive mother, Margaret, who are both facing the challenge of malnutrition since they left the Wakisa Centre, that they will find the means to support themselves.
- Pray that God will bring someone who will take Samuel up in the event of losing his mother whose chances of survival are very slim, as her immunity has dropped to 10% only.
Philippines
- Thank God for the work of LAMA Ministries, a residential home for boys in need in the Philippines.
- Pray that they will find suitable candidates as they seek to recruit a Christian social worker and a psychologist for the house.
- Pray for teenagers Randy and Wilfredo (both former residents) that they will find work and a place to live.
- Pray particularly that Randy will be healed of his hepatitis.
