Bolivia (Bolivian Street Children Project)
Please pray for children who live on the streets of Bolivia:
- For those who are runaways, orphans or homeless children;
- For those who numb the pain of this kind of existence through rampant inhalant abuse (90 percent use paint thinner on yarn);
- For those who are abused (90 percent of La Paz’s abandoned children have been physically abused);
- For those who have suffered sexual abuse (more than half of the girls on the streets of La Paz are pregnant or have children and 38 percent report being sexually abused);
- For those who make a living being commercially sexually exploited; For those who are second or third generation street children.
- Give thanks to God for the work of the staff and volunteers of the Bolivian Street Children Project.
- Pray that God will provide for the needs of this organization that reaches out to street children and offers them an alternative to life on the streets.Pray that God will continue to guide this group of dedicated people as they help empower children to become role models and agents of constructive change.
- Pray for street children everywhere. Pray that the conditions forcing these children into the streets will improve.
China
- Pray for the safety, wellbeing and freedom of 11 teenagers and two adults after their arrest in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region for holding an “illegal religious gathering.” The teens were attending a house church Bible study when they were detained and taken into custody by PSB officials. Child Pornography
- Please pray for law enforcement officials, investigators and others who must be exposed to the horrible images of children being sexually abused in order to build cases and prosecute predators.
