Praise God that the four-room hostel being built for the Molo Street Children Project in Kenya is nearing completion.
• Please pray for funds for completion of the hostel and for on going running costs, remembering that some of the boys are still sleeping on the street. There are now 13 to 16 boys attending the contact center daily, where they receive water for washing, food, classes in math and English and also instruction in car mechanics, tailoring, sign writing and carpentry.
• Praise God for one boy who has given his life to the Lord and for others who are now attending church.
• Praise God that John Ndegwa has joined the team of the Children at Risk Prayer Fellowship in Kenya.
• Pray for a strong steering group to be built for this local network and for an increase in the number of projects involved in the network.
• Pray particularly for projects to begin that address children’s health and feed the most vulnerable.
Hope for the Nations have a street children’s rehabilitation program in Bungoma, Kenya.
• Please pray for wisdom in planning and for increased funding for this ministry.
• Pray for good relationships and cooperation in establishing a network of children at risk ministries in Bungoma.
• Please pray for food relief for children who are starving due to drought in Mombasa, Kenya.
• Pray that the Catholic Relief Service will continue food distribution and that there will be opportunities to demonstrate the love of God to Muslim families who come to receive food.
A sponsor gave £150 with which one cow and five goats were bought in order to generate money for Lydia’s needs, but she needs regular support for her education.
• Pray for Lydia who is being cared for by Lake Fellowship Centre in Kenya.
James, who has been in the home for eight years, is now the first from the center to go to university.
• Please pray that he will receive all the support he needs to finance this and that he will know God’s help in every area of his life.
• Please pray for the Lake Fellowship Centre in Kenya, where the workers have to go without proper payment.
• Pray for more support to enable them to care for more children, particularly those who have been affected because of HIV/AIDS.
• Pray for Joan and Judith, twins living in the center after losing their parents.
• Pray that they will both do well in their studies and especially that they will come to know Jesus as their Savior.
The Bala Mercy Children’s Centre in Kenya supports over 400 orphaned children with healthcare, food, education and clothing and many have been placed with families, including widows and single mothers supported by the center.
• Please pray for the many children under the care of the center, who have been affected by severe floods.
• Pray for those whose homes have collapsed or been damaged. Rev. Dominic Ochoo and his family, who lead this ministry, have also had to leave their home.
