Syria
· Please pray for the children of Syria who are affected by the violent conflict between opposition forces and the Syrian military. Children and women seem to be the largest group of victims in this fight between those who support President Bashar al-Assad’s government and those who oppose it.
· Pray for the 30 children, including several babies, who were stabbed, shot, or burned in a massacre last month. Please pray for their healing and that God will comfort them. Pray for parents whose children were killed in this vicious attack.
· Pray for families who have fled Syria because of the fighting.
· Please pray for a cease-fire between the two opposing groups. Pray that peace and reconciliation will reign instead of hatred and violence. Please pray that the conflict won’t turn into a sectarian civil war. http://tinyurl.com/7jl7w9j

This little one has been diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma (a cancer typically diagnosed in babies or young children) and is currently receiving aggressive treatment to stop the spread of the cancer. Pray for peace and wisdom for her parents as they make decisions about her medical care. http://tinyurl.com/c33fqfx
· Pray for 20-year-old Rebecca who is struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Pray for God’s healing presence in her life. Please pray she’ll be able to receive treatment soon. Pray for her family and friends who are concerned about her health and her safety.
· Please pray for 5-year-old Crystal Rose who has just begun treatment for an adult form of leukemia. Pray that God’s healing touch will bring Crystal through this difficult time. Pray for her parents and extended family as well. Pray for the St. Jude’s Hospital personnel with whom Crystal will come in contact during her treatment. Pray she is given the best care for this form of adult cancer.
· Please keep 17-year-old Thomas* close in prayer as he deals with the consequences of continually making poor decisions. Thomas was expelled from school last year for possessing a firearm and accidentally shooting another student. Pray God will be at work in Thomas through this experience and that Thomas will learn from it. Continue to pray for his parents who have significant medical and health issues that are aggravated by stress.

· Pray for God’s healing touch to be upon Hoxie, the husband of a Faces of Children prayer partner, who is going through treatment for a recurrence of cancer.
· Please keep 11-month-old Annabel, the niece of a Faces of Children intercessor, close in prayer as she continues chemotherapy treatment for neuroblastoma. Pray she will be able to overcome the nausea and vomiting that is sapping her strength and causing dehydration. Continue to pray for her parents, Greg and Vicky, as they make decisions about her treatment and care. Pray for Annabel’s physicians, nurses, and other medical staff as they treat this little one.
· Give God thanks for the opportunity to share the ministry of Faces of Children with the women of Mission Presbytery at the 2012 Presbyterian Women’s Spring Gathering at Mo-Ranch last weekend. Thanks be to God for the new prayer partners who attended the Faces of Children workshop and committed to pray for children through this ministry.
