Burma, Thailand
- Pray for the safety of the Karen ethnic hill tribe children and people of Burma who are under extreme persecution right now. The Burma Army, in conjunction with its proxy forces, has been attacking Karen villages and refugee camps along the border of Burma and Thailand. Some emails report the Burma Army entering Thailand and attacking a refugee camp from the Thai side.
- Pray for the approximately 4,000 to 6,500 children, women and men who are running for their lives from the shelling and violence. Pray for those who have lost their homes again and again. Pray that God will provide permanent, safe homes for these hunted people.
Pray for those in organizations like Free Burma Rangers and Partners Relief and Development who are documenting this attack and providing support and help for the refugees. Pray that God will grant them the resources needed to help these children and people. Pray for the wisdom to know what to do in this very frightening, challenging situation. North Korea
- Please keep 4-year-old Hannah in prayer as she seeks to understand why her mommy can’t come home soon. Pray that God will bring Hannah and her family comfort and peace during this very difficult time.
Pray for the safety of her mother and the other journalist who was arrested and jailed in North Korea several months ago. Pray for Euna and Laura as they face “12 years of reform through hard labor in one of the most infamous labor camps” in North Korea. The women, who were working on a documentary film about trafficking, may have been kidnapped in China and taken across the border into North Korea.

United States
- Please pray that God will protect and provide for 12-year-old Vicki and 10-year-old Kathy. The girls’ mother routinely deprives them of food, doesn’t allow them to participate in school activities, uses them as babysitters for other children who happen to be in their home, and exposes them to her male friends. Give thanks to God that the girls haven’t been molested at this point. Pray for this mother. Pray also for Vicki and Kathy’s father and stepmother who are trying to obtain custody.
- Pray for these siblings who are about to be removed from the home by Child Protective Services: 9-year-old Annie* who was molested when her family was at a homeless shelter; 15-year-old Minnie* who cuts herself; and for 3-year-old Jim*. Pray for their father, with whom they are living now, and for their mother, who isn’t in their lives. Pray for their grandmother who wants custody of these hurting children. Pray that God will help them heal from the trauma they’ve experienced and thrive in a safe home.
*Name changed for protection and/or confidentiality - Please pray for 19-year-old Sandra, who is struggling with depression, and for her new baby boy. Pray that she will be able to receive treatment for her illness. Pray for Sandra’s healing and for her baby’s healthy development.
Faces of Children
- Give thanks to God for the new prayer partners who joined Faces of Children after attending a workshop at the Mo-Ranch Women’s Conference last week. Pray that all of the women who attended the workshop and went through the prayer stations will be intentional in their prayers for children everywhere.
