North Korea, China
- Please continue to lift up the children and people of North Korea who are suffering dreadfully because of their government’s brutal policies. http://www.nkfreedom.org/
- Pray for those who have little access to food aid. Pray for children who have been orphaned. They are most at risk for malnutrition and starvation. In 2003, 42 percent of the children in this country were suffering from chronic malnutrition. More than 2 million people have died of starvation since 1995.
- Keep the 200,000 children and adults imprisoned in North Korean “death camps” in prayer. There are seven political prison camps in this country where arbitrary imprisonment, no trials, torture, medical and chemical experiments, forced abortions, infanticide, starvation, and hard labor are common practices. North Korea Freedom Coalition believes between 400,000 to 1 million people have died in these camps since they were started in 1972.
- Pray for North Korean children and adults who have fled to China to escape this brutality. Many are vulnerable to exploitation and trafficking, especially women and children. Up to 70 percent of North Korean women in China are trafficked. Children, especially orphans, often end up on the streets.

Pakistan
- Please ask God to provide for the 1.4 million displaced children and adults who have been forced from their homes by continued fighting in the Swat Valley. - Pray for women and girls experiencing great distress because of the challenging circumstances in the camps. Many do not have formal documentation and are unable to register for aid. Pray for those whose health is compromised by the strict cultural practice of purdah, the separation of men and women.
- Pray for children who haven’t been able to attend school because of the fighting and the destruction of schools. Pray for those who must seek work on the streets to help their families.

Sri Lanka
- Pray that the 25-year-old civil war between the Tamil Tigers and the government of Sri Lanka is truly over. Pray for the more than 250,000 children, youth and adults who were displaced from their homes and are in camps. Pray for the injured and traumatized, for those who have lost family in the fighting, and for those who have lost homes, schools, and livelihoods. Pray for reconciliation between the ethnic groups and a workable plan for peace in this troubled country.

- Give thanks to God that 3-year-old Briant is safely home now! Briant was found wandering the streets of a Mexico border town last weekend after being kidnapped during a home invasion robbery earlier this month. His kidnappers threatened to take him to Mexico and kill him. Praise God that Briant is home with his family.
