Burma
- Please keep the children and people of Burma in prayer as they continue to recover from the devastating cyclone that struck a year ago and killed 140,000. Pray that God will provide shelter for those who are still without it as the monsoon season draws closer. http://www.alertnet.org./thenews/newsdesk/BKK410319.htm

Asia, Southeast Asia (Love146 – www.love146.org)
- Please pray for the development of networks in Cambodia, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka to share and develop resources to combat child sex trafficking and to find better ways to advocate against it.
- Pray that more research will be done to understand how to prevent young boys from entering hijira (eunuch) communities in India and Pakistan. Pray that organizations will be equipped to work with boys abused like this.
- Pray that children will no longer be exposed to violent pornography—featuring children—that is easily accessible to them on pirated DVDs throughout Asia. Pray for key organizations to take action to address the demand for this form of commercial sexual exploitation of children on film.
- Pray that God will bless the staff and volunteers of Love146 with the resources and energy to work with children who are confused about their sexuality, making them very vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
- Please pray for Glenn and his family as they return to Cambodia this summer to work with children through Love146. Pray that 14-year-old Zoe, 12-year-old Hannah, and 8-year-old Sarah will make a smooth transition into their new school and settle in well. Pray for their mother who is recovering from a serious health challenge.
Pakistan
- Please keep the children and people of Pakistan in prayer as thousands flee the Swat valley, afraid of a war between the Taliban and government forces. An estimated 800,000 could flee the valley in the coming days, weeks and months. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/05/06/AR2009050604220.html

United States
- Please keep a teacher named Kim in prayer as she works with special needs children at an inner city school in California. Many of the children are from very poor families with few resources. Pray that God will bless Kim with what she needs to minister to these children effectively. Pray for Kim’s principal—that she will have wisdom and insight on how to handle problems at the school. Pray for Kim’s coworkers—that they will work together in harmony for the best interests of the children. And pray that the children in Kim’s class will receive all of the special services they need to thrive. Pray that God’s peace will permeate the school and drive out any darkness.
- Pray that 3-year-old Briant is safe and will be found soon. Pray that the two men who kidnapped him in a home invasion last weekend will be brought to justice. They tied up the family and then said they planned to take Briant to Mexico and kill him. Pray for Briant’s parents and siblings who are frantic with worry about him.

Diana had been in and out of foster care frequently and been exposed to too much violence, inappropriate behavior, and information for her age. Thank God for her foster parents and their dedication to helping Diana. Her mother’s parental rights may be terminated in the near future. Pray that God will provide a forever home for little Diana and her 1-year-old sibling.
- Pray for 10-year-old Amy* who recently had to testify against her step-father in court. Her mother told Amy to take back her testimony because the step-father paid the bills. He was found not guilty. Pray that Amy can heal from her stepfather’s abuse, her mother’s betrayal, and the trauma of reliving the abuse again through her testimony in court. Pray that God will provide justice and safety for Amy.
