Burma
· Please keep in prayer the children of Burma’s Rohingya ethnic group who are denied birth registration because their parents either exceeded a two-child limit or had an unauthorized marriage. The punishment for an unauthorized marriage can be up to 10 years in prison. http://tinyurl.com/6mtuga3
· Pray for the 40,000 children of this Muslim minority group who are denied the fundamental rights of citizenship; education; free movement within the country; and employment and marriage when they are older.
· Pray for those who face such fierce discrimination that it affects every aspect of their lives including health care and access to food. Please pray for a change in heart of those who enforce the discriminatory laws concerning these vulnerable children.
India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Nigeria; Angola, Chad, and Congo
· Give God thanks for the hopeful news regarding India’s polio situation—no new cases of the disease have been recorded in India in over a year. Pray this crippling disease is truly wiped out in India, a country that was long the epicenter of polio and its biggest exporter. Thanks be to God for those who worked hard on the campaign to eradicate polio in India that began in 1995. · Please pray those countries in which polio is still widespread—Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Nigeria—will be able to get this devastating disease under control and eventually eliminated. Pray for children in those countries who suffer from polio—that God will provide the medical care and support each of them may need.
· Pray for the protection of children in Angola, Chad, and Congo from polio. The virus was seemingly eliminated in these countries, but was re-imported from other countries and it started to spread again.

· Pray for the disabled children receiving treatment at the CURE International Hospital in Kenya and for the medical staff and caregivers there. Also pray for a 12-year-old boy, Moses, and an 18-year-old girl, Lydiah.
Thailand (NightLight – www.nightlightinterantional.com)
· Pray for the 59 women now at NightLight...that they will find greater intimacy with God and grow in their faith. Pray God will protect them from the enormous family pressures that influence these women. Many are expected to provide financial support for their extended families and wind up being commercially sexually exploited.
· Please keep in prayer the baby boys recently born into the NightLight family. Pray God will protect the health of these babies and their single mothers. Pray for all NightLight children—that God will provide for each of these children as their mothers learn new life skills away from the brothels and bars in which they were exploited.
United States
· Pray that God’s healing touch will be upon Kelly, the 42-year-old mother of three children, ages 8, 10, and 11, as she seeks treatment for pancreatic cancer. Pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding for Kelly and her family during this stressful and frightening time.
· Please keep close in prayer the families and friends of four Midland, Texas teenagers who committed suicide in the past few months. Pray for God’s comforting presence for the families and friends of these young people. Pray for the students, staff, and faculty at the schools the teens attended as they deal with feelings of pain, loss, anger, and hopelessness. Give God thanks for the community response to this worsening issue—pray the newly-formed coalitions, online groups, and school district initiatives will help those students who might be considering suicide.

Faces of Children
· Thanks be to God for 5-month-old Reis’ continued growth and health. This great niece of a Faces of Children prayer partner was born in the family car before her mother and father could get to the hospital last September.
