India, Nepal
- Pray for the more than 200,000 people of northeast India and Nepal who have been forced from their homes because of flooding and landslides caused by heavy monsoon rains. - Pray that God will provide support for those living in tent camps, schools, and with relatives. Pray that children will be protected from waterborne illnesses, and that those with diarrhea or dysentery will receive medical care.
Mexico
- Pray for 6-year-old Ivana, 3-year-old Sophia, and 1-year-old Stephen as they move to Chihuahua State in Mexico with their parents. Pray for their safety and well-being in this new location. Pray God will provide for this struggling young family.
Norway

- Pray that God will comfort the families and friends of the 93 children, youth, and adults killed in the bombings and shootings. Pray for God’s healing presence for the 96 injured in the attacks. Pray for those targeted because of their race or ethnicity—many victims at the camp were children of African and Asian immigrants.
- Pray for the man arrested for allegedly carrying out the attacks—his writings show a desire to rid Norway of immigrants, Islam, and the multiculturalism that thrives in this country.
- Pray for God’s justice in this disturbing situation. And pray that Christians in Norway will be true reflections of Jesus Christ’s light, peace, and love in the face of ethnic hatred and violence.
Somalia
- Please pray for the children of Somalia—one of the toughest places in the world to be a child—who risk death all the time. This year for every 1,000 children under age five, at least 200 will die. http://tinyurl.com/3bjbfp5
- Pray for Somali children who are systematically recruited to fight on the frontlines for al-Shabaab militants or government forces. Pray for children who are trained to use grenades, firearms, and improvised explosive devices.
- Pray for children sent to recruit other children into the militia; for those lured by promises of phones and money; for those abducted in raids on schools; for children who are threatened with violence if they do not join up.
- Please pray for children who have witnessed the deliberate killing or torture of parents, family members, and friends. Pray for children forced to attend pubic stonings and amputations. Pray for those who are flogged by al-Shabaab for not praying on time; for getting caught listening to music; or for wearing the wrong clothes—girls not wearing the hijab headscarf or the abaya gown.
- Pray for children who are denied an education—less than a quarter of primary school aged children attend school.
- Pray for the girls of Somalia, especially those between the ages of four and 11, who are forced to go through female genital mutilation (FGM). Ninety-eight percent are believed to undergo this disfiguring, violating procedure that has no health benefits for girls and women, but can cause severe, long-term problems: recurrent bladder and urinary tract infections; cysts; infertility; an increased risk of childbirth complications and newborn deaths; the need for later surgeries. http://www.who.int/

United States
- Give God thanks for answered prayers about 2-year-old Mark who lost his vision while he was being treated for infantile seizures. Thanks be to God for restoring Mark’s vision! Mark was able to watch fireworks on the Fourth of July and is now throwing a ball and attempting to catch it. Please continue to pray for Mark as he undergoes further treatments next month for the seizures.
- Keep 13-year-old Julia held close in prayer as she begins treatment for severe scoliosis of her back. Pray for comfort and encouragement as she works up to using a back brace for 23 hours a day.
