China
- Please pray for the children of China who are born with physical or mental disabilities.
- Because of China’s “One Child” policy, society sees little wrong with discarding handicapped or disabled children.
- Give thanks to God for the Chinese house churches that rescue throwaways and provide them homes and love.
- Pray for the leaders and members of these underground churches as they struggle to care for disabled children with very limited resources.
- Pray that God will provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of China’s throwaway children. May they come to know they are beloved children of God and that God will never discard them.
Kenya (CURE International – http://www.helpcurenow.org/)
- Please keep the disabled children and youth receiving treatment at the CURE International Hospital in Kenya held close in prayer.
- Pray also for the medical personnel, staff and volunteers at this hospital as they care for these young ones.
- And pray especially for three boys: 9-year-old Robson, 12-year-old Nzuki, and 13-year-old Matheka; and for 9-year-old Christine.
Kenya/Democratic Republic of Congo
- Give thanks to God for the safe return of a Samaritan’s Purse relief team back to Kenya from the volatile North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. While there, team members performed orthopedic surgeries under primitive conditions on children and adults who had been injured by gunshots and grenades. http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/

- Pray that God will bring comfort and healing to the many, many girls and women who are violently raped. A relief team member writes that “Aid organizations estimate as many as 90% of women and girls are raped in some villages.”
United States
- Please pray for Burmese refugees living in the United States and especially for the pregnant women, the new mothers and their babies. Many of these women have not had access to prenatal or medical care before coming to the U.S.
- Pray for those who have had medical emergencies and difficult pregnancies. Pray that they will deliver healthy babies.
Vietnam
- Please keep the children of Vietnam held close in prayer as parts of their country are inundated with some of the heaviest flooding in more than two decades.
- Pray for those who have been evacuated from their homes and villages.
- Pray for those who are struggling to clear out the mud and muck from their homes.
- Give thanks to God that crops weren’t severely affected by the flooding and heavy rains.

- Please continue to pray that more churches and individuals will join with the ministry of Faces of Children in spreading awareness about children in crisis and inviting more people to pray for children at risk.
