- Give thanks to God for answered prayers concerning the recent character qualities training event in six major cities of India recently. Thank God for the protection of the ministry teachers and the many blessings they experienced as they trained over 1,250 pastors who will, in turn, train 30,000 more in the next phase of this program.
- Give thanks to God for the safety of 30 pastors from Orissa State who attended one of the training seminars. The day after the event, they received shocking news. Fourteen pastors back in Orissa had been murdered by extremists in the violence that has recently rocked the state. Please pray for the families and congregations of these slain pastors. Pray for peace and reconciliation in this troubled place.
Nepal
- Please continue to pray for the 60 children living in the Morning Star Children’s Charity Home in Nepal. Give thanks to God that they are such good role models and examples to the Hindu students and teachers in their schools.
- Pray that these teachers and students might be open to the truth of the Gospel and receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. Please pray that God will sustain and encourage the children of the Morning Star home when their teachers or fellow students harass them or cause them problems.
- Pray for the caregivers in this home—that God will bless them with stamina and strength to care for all of these children and the resources to do so.
- Pray that the political situation in Nepal will improve and that God will place a hand of protection around the children of this country. The child at-risk situation in Nepal is troubling.
South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia (Beautiful Gate Ministries International— http://www.beautifulgate.org/)
- Give thanks to God for the work of Beautiful Gate Ministries International and for its founders, Aukje and Toby. Pray for wisdom and protection for these leaders as they work with and lead programs for children at risk in South Africa, Lesotho and Zambia.
- Thank God for the enjoyable time they spent recently in their home country and for their safe travels.
- Please pray for the children and families of Beautiful Gate ministry leaders. These servants and their families are under tremendous pressures each day.
- Give praise to God for Beautiful Gate’s new charity status in the United States and pray for meaningful relationships and partnerships with people in the U.S.
