India, Bangladesh, Nepal
- Please be in prayer for the children of Nepal, Bangladesh, and the Indian states of Bihar, Assam and Uttar Pradesh as they cope with heavy monsoon rains that have caused devastating flooding and a dam to burst on the Kosi River in Nepal. North Korea
- Pray for the children of North Korea who are affected by the severe food shortage in this isolated country. The U.N. World Food Programme (WFP) reports that people are beginning to scavenge for food to survive. Their representative said this country risked sliding back into famine if they did not get immediate help. Sudan
- Please pray for the displaced children and people of Kalma camp in Darfur following a recent attack by Sudanese government forces. The camp is seen as a threat by the government of Sudan—they have raided it at least 10 other times in the past. Pray for the safety of the children and families living in this tribally fractured war zone. An estimated 80,000 people from 29 ethnic groups make their home in this IDP (internally displaced people) camp.

Thailand
- Pray for emotional, spiritual and physical healing for Nan*, a girl who comes to a children’s drop-in and outreach center in a bar area of a major Thai city. Nan shared with one of the workers at this center that she has been sexually abused by her father since she was 3 years old. Pray that she will be able to escape this violent man. Pray that Nan’s mother will give permission for Nan to move to a Christian children’s home. Pray for God’s justice for Nan and that she will know peace in Jesus Christ. *Name changed for confidentiality or protection.
- Please keep Faa in prayer as she reaches out to and works with ethnic hill tribe children in a bar area of a major Thai city. Pray that God will provide her with the resources and energy she needs to care for the vulnerable children who come to the drop-in center.
- Please pray for the safety of Faa, the other caregivers, and the children at this center as they have recently received threats from an angry parent of one of the children. Men in the bar area routinely confront the children and caregivers.
Zimbabwe
- Give thanks to God for ZOE, a Christian organization that helps 7,000 to 8,000 needy children and orphans in Zimbabwe. Please keep these children close in prayer during this challenging time in their country. Pray that God will provide ZOE staff and volunteers with the resources and channels needed to minister to all of these children. Pray that God will sustain and encourage ZOE staff—Jean, Pastor Promise and his wife Angie—as they reach out to the children of Zimbabwe.
- Please pray for the staff and the 12 boys at the Lovemore Home. Give thanks to God for how well the staff has cared for these boys despite all the difficulties they face in Zimbabwe.
- Pray for Joan, the “tea and bread lady,” and her son Craig as they continue their outreach and caring work at Home of Hope with needy and homeless mothers and children. Pray for Dave and Ria who also serve with them.
- Pray for a just and reasonable solution to the severe political and economic problems facing the people of Zimbabwe.
