Uganda (Watoto — www.watoto.com)
- Give thanks to God for the Watoto organization that serves so many at-risk children in Uganda.
- Please be in prayer for the 88 babies and toddlers now living at the Watoto Babies Home. A good number of these babies have been abandoned or orphaned.
- Pray that God will provide for the needs of these children, many of whom have special medical or physical requirements.
- Pray for the health and physical/emotional/spiritual needs of the caregivers and staff that look after these little ones. Pray that God will continue to sustain and provide them encouragement for this draining work.
Cambodia (Rainbows of Hope — www.rainbowsofhope.org)
- Please pray that God’s light will break the oppressive life cycles in the lives of children, youth and families with whom Rainbows of Hope WEC Cambodia works. Pray for transformation of communities as well as of families.
- Give thanks to God for the apprenticeship training programs that train youth in metal trade, sewing, and computer skills and provide an opportunity for the staff to share the love of Christ with the youth involved.
- Thanks be to God for the four new children being sponsored by ROH who are now able to attend school and don’t have to collect rubbish any more to support their families. Please pray that these little ones will be able to adjust to and thrive in the new environment.
United States
- Give thanks to God for the life of 3 month old Kingston*, a baby boy who died as a result of shaken baby syndrome. Pray that God will bring comfort and peace to the family and friends who loved this little one. Pray that God will deliver justice in this case and pray for the safety of other babies in similar situations.
- Please pray that God’s healing hand will touch 16-year-old Becca who isn’t responding to chemotherapy and is unable to have a stem cell transplant. Pray that Becca and her family will feel the reassurance of Christ’s presence during this trying time.
- Give thanks to God that newborn Sam is making a good recovery from the pneumonia he contracted shortly after he was born. Please pray that he will heal completely.
