Thailand
· Pray that God will provide for the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the children at an orphanage in Thailand. A committed Christian woman, with the only church in her area of Thailand, started this home for poor and orphaned hill tribe children. She refused to close the church (affiliated with the home) when a supporter demanded she do so. This supporter canceled funding for the orphanage, which was a huge financial blow.
· Thanks be to God for the director’s faithfulness and obedience to God in the face of such persecution.
· Praise God that several local organizations and a church in the United States are temporarily able to fill the financial gap for the orphanage.
Mexico and Jamaica
· Pray for the children and people of Jamaica and Mexico as they deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Dean.
Central America
· Please pray for the children and residents of Central America as the also deal with a major hurricane, Felix.
North Korea
· Please be in prayer for the children of North Korea following massive flooding that has killed hundreds and destroyed homes, businesses, railways, roads, bridges and farmland. Pray that the children of this chronically food insecure country will find sufficient food and shelter during the coming months. (BBC News)
