Ethiopia
· Please continue to pray that God would provide for the needs of the 53 children in the Joseph Children’s Home in Ethiopia. The children are in great need of clothing, but the orphanage’s resources are limited. (Watch and Pray)
· Pray for the orphanage caregivers and volunteers—that they would be encouraged in their work and service. Pray that God will support and sustain them.
Haiti
· Please pray that God will provide traveling mercies for the 20 students from the Canaan Orphanage in Haiti and their chaperone's who are currently traveling in the United States. Pray that their needs on this trip will be fulfilled.
· Pray that God will be glorified through the words and actions of each young person and that they may experience God’s presence in tangible ways during the International Christian Conference they will attend in the U.S.
· Pray that God will sustain the leaders and give them wisdom and patience during the month they will be traveling with these young people.
· Give God thanks and praise for the new generator at Canaan Orphanage. The children, staff and volunteers will be able to enjoy electricity most evenings now and will be able to filter their water.
Colombia
· Pray for the children of Colombia who live in IDP camps amid squalor and extreme poverty. Pray that God will provide for them—that they may be able to receive an education, ample food and sufficient medical care.
· Pray for the safety of human rights advocates in this country who work tirelessly and fearlessly for justice for those without a voice in Colombia. Pray for the leaders in Colombia’s government—that they will deal with internally displaced people justly and fairly and that they will value them.
United States
· Please be in prayer for 12-year-old Jody who is in excruciating pain from a terminal illness. Pray that God will bless and comfort Jody, her family, and the medical personnel helping her during this difficult time. Pray for God’s healing mercies. Pray for all of those who care about her as they struggle with feelings of helplessness and loss.
· Please continue to pray for Sydney, a young girl with cancer who recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. Pray for God’s healing mercies for Sydney as she has developed graft versus host disease and may need to be treated with powerful drugs that can damage her liver.
Uganda
· Pray for the estimated 3000 Ugandan children and women being held hostage by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in the bush in Southern Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The LRA has abducted thousands of children, using them as soldiers, servants or sex slaves in the 21-year conflict in Northern Uganda. (United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF)
· Pray for the LRA rebels in hiding across the border from Northern Uganda—that they will know the true peace of Christ and will embrace his love and surrender their bloodthirsty ways.
· Pray that current peace talks with the LRA will prove fruitful and bring a lasting peace to Northern Uganda.
· Please be in prayer for the 2 million people who have been displaced to overcrowded IDP camps in this country because of this conflict.
