Kenya

This country is located in Eastern Africa on the Indian Ocean and shares borders with Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania. Kenya provides shelter to almost a quarter of a million internally displaced people (IDPs) and refugees. At Kakuma refugee camp, near Kakuma in north-west Kenya, approximately 85,000 refugees from Sudan, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Rwanda and Burundi live in temporary housing. Life in this massive camp is especially challenging for children.

Life for the Needy Children ministry cares for nomadic children in Kakuma, Kenya.

Please pray for provision of a building to house needy nomadic children, as the ministry has had to move out of its rented accommodation and the children have no shelter.

Please pray that adequate food, clothing and medical care will be made available for these children.

Request submitted by Viva Network.

Update: Please pray for the approximately 40 orphans at the Grace Children's Centre in Nairobi, that they will find loving Christian homes and that their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs will be met.
