Prayer
Concerns:
During
the following four weeks, please pray for children in
hard places. Pray for the physical, spiritual and emotional well-being
of children. Pray for the revelation of Christ and the Holy Spirit to give
hope, comfort, healing and protection to children around the world.
Week
of March 16th
Pray
for children who live in abject poverty:
·
Those
without clean water to drink and nourishing food to eat.
·
Those
living in unsanitary and unsafe conditions.
·
Those
who have no access to medical care when they are sick.
·
Those
who are at risk of dying every day from preventable diseases.
Week
of March 23rd
Pray
for traumatized children who are victims of war:
·
Boys
conscripted to serve as soldiers – taught to kill without remorse.
·
Girls
kidnapped to serve as “wives” and treated as a man’s property.
·
Those
enduring the destruction of family and home.
·
Those
witnessing unspeakable violence.
·
Those
living in fear and without hope.
Week of March 30th
Pray
for children with educational needs:
·
Those
lacking access to basic education because there is no school to attend.
·
Those
needing books, uniforms and tuition to go to “public” school in many countries.
·
Girls
being denied education because of their gender.
·
Those
with special challenges needing community resources and parental support to
thrive.
·
Those
students struggling academically and socially and needing parental support.
Week
of April 6th
Pray
for children who are enslaved:
·
Those
working long hours in brick kilns as bonded labors.
·
Those
enticed to work on boats but are never paid or freed to leave the boat.
·
Victims
of exploitation for the benefit and gratification of others.
·
Victims
of trafficking, prostitution and pornography.
·
Also,
pray for the perpetrators to have their hearts changed and reject evil.
