God for the staff and volunteers with YWAM (Youth With A Mission)-Belo
Horizonte who minister to children and teenagers in socially vulnerable
situations in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Pray for the approximately 70 team
members who serve children and youth through YWAM-Belo Horizonte’s four support

Give God praise
for the work of this ministry that serves at-risk children and strives to help
them transform their lives not only spiritually, but physically, intellectually,
as well as socially. Pray for these teams as they present the Gospel in word
and deed…as they work with street children, children with HIV/AIDS, children
with hearing loss, and pregnant teens. Pray for team members who work to help
socially vulnerable communities transform and develop. And pray for team
members who work in the ministry’s shelter with teenagers who desire to leave

Thanks be to God
for the Rescue House team and the variety of ways they use to reach street
children. Please pray for children living on the streets of Belo Horizonte as
they are vulnerable to being trafficked or prostituted.

Pray for the
thousands of girls, some as young as 10 or 11 years old, who are forced to sell
their bodies along the notorious highway that runs almost 3,000 miles from
Fortaleza in the north of Brazil to Rio de Janeiro in the south. Pray for children
and adolescents who are being sold along this “Highway to Hell.”

Give God thanks
for the many opportunities YWAM-Belo Horizonte has to share with teenagers in schools
about the dangers of human trafficking and sexual exploitation along this “Highway
to Hell.” Pray they will be able to attain their goal of reaching 10,000
teenagers in Belo Horizonte with this program. Thanks be to God other anti-trafficking
organizations that work along the “Highway to Hell” are also interested in this
preventative program.

Praise God for
the cooperation and unity among many local churches and organizations in Brazil
as they plan to come together to educate about the evils of human trafficking/sexual
exploitation and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the millions of
foreign and national tourists expected at the 2014 World Cup. Please pray for
the teams who will spread this message throughout Brazil’s twelve host cities during
the World Cup in June and July. Pray this World Cup will be known for its all-time
low in cases of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Please keep close
in prayer all those affected by the disappearance of a Boeing 777 airliner,
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, on March 8, 2014. Pray for the 239 passengers
and crew that were aboard this jet when it suddenly disappeared early in its

the family and friends of those on board the airliner as they anxiously await word

Pray for search
and rescue teams from ten countries as they hunt for clues to the airliner’s
disappearance. The search area is enormous and includes both sides of the Malay
Peninsula, the Gulf of Thailand, the Strait of Malacca, and now waters off the
western coast of Australia.
Nigeria

Please pray for
the students at a boarding school in northeast Nigeria who were attacked by
gunmen with the Islamist group Boko Haram. Pray for the loved ones of the 29
male students who died when the school was burned to the ground. Pray for the
safety and well-being of the survivors of this brutal attack.
·
Please keep in
prayer the villagers who escaped two attacks last week by Boko Haram. Pray for
the loved ones of the 200 people who were killed in these attacks. Militants

Pray for the
freedom of girls abducted by this Islamist rebel group in a new tactic of
violent intimidation.

Pray for a change
of heart within the members of Boko Haram…that they will turn away from their
violent attacks against the children and people of northeast Nigeria. The group
believes Western education is sinful and is working to eradicate it from their
country.

Please keep
17-year-old Kristen, her younger brother, and father close in prayer as they
recover from injuries received in a serious car accident over spring break.
Pray they will feel God’s comforting presence as they grieve the death of their
mother/wife in the car accident. Please pray for a community of care and
support to surround this hurting family in their season of loss and sorrow.
