Prayer Concerns for the week of April 22, 2013

China
·         Pray for the children and people of Hong Kong and mainland China who are exposed to dangerously high levels of air pollution. Pray for children and the elderly, as well as those with heart or respiratory illnesses as they are at great risk of adverse health effects due to the high pollution levels. In Hong Kong last month, 322 premature deaths were reported as a result of the alarmingly high pollution.
·         Pray for government leaders of cities and provinces that have such unhealthy levels of pollution… pray they will work with businesses and communities to improve the air quality of their regions. http://tinyurl.com/cvr46o7

·         Thanks be to God for the recent release of 28 children and women by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). Pray for the 13 girls (infants to age 17) and the 7 boys (all under 3 years of age) who were released in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Pray for the physical, emotional, and spiritual healing of these children and women. Give thanks to God for the release of these long-term LRA captives, the largest release in over three years.
·         Please pray for the safety and freedom of the children and women still held captive by the LRA. The recent escapees indicate that many are still held hostage in the bush. http://www.lracrisistracker.com/
