Kenya, Somalia
- Pray for the 270,000 Somali children and people housed in Dadaab, a settlement of three refugee camps in northern Kenya and one of the largest concentrations of refugees in the world. Give thanks that the government of Kenya is going to expand the settlement to accommodate 80,000 people—this move should help relieve the severe overcrowding. Pray it will also help ease the frustration among refugees and improve living conditions. http://www.alertnet.org/db/an_
art/55866/2010/03/1-131330-1. htm - Pray for the youth and children who have been recruited out of Dadaab and other refugee camps to fight on both sides of the war in Somalia. Pray for their families—many of whom don’t know what’s happened to their children. Pray for an end to the recruitment of children for armed conflicts.
Spain
- Please continue to keep in prayer a missionary family serving in Spain. Pray for Garrick, Dziu, and their children, Evelyn and Mathis, as they reach out to college students in Spain through an international ministry.
- Pray for the seven young people with whom Garrick and Dziu are building relationships through Existe Mas Mundo (Another World Exists), a ministry designed to motivate students to take action against injustice, poverty, famines, and disasters through humanitarian aid projects. Pray that more students will come and see the gospel of Jesus Christ in action through this ministry.
- Continue to pray that God will provide for and encourage this missionary family as they serve in the very challenging mission climate of Spain—so many people have been alienated or hurt by the church in this country.
- Pray for 2-year-old Mathis who has a sensory processing disorder that affects many aspects of his life. Give thanks to God that the best doctor in Spain for this issue is in their city, only a five minute walk away from their home. Thanks be to God for the improvements Mathis’ parents are seeing in his development. And thanks be to God that 5-year-old Evelyn has made such a smooth transition to her new school after her old one closed.
United States
- Continue to lift Ben, his siblings, and his adoptive parents in prayer as they cope with a very difficult situation. Ben suffers from emotional and psychological problems as a result of a very traumatic childhood. Pray for God’s healing mercies to flow through teenager Ben. Pray that God will provide Ben with the strength, courage, and determination to work on healing his mind and body. Please pray that God will reveal God’s love and comforting presence to Ben in multiple ways throughout the coming months.
- Give thanks to God for answered prayer in the case of two young girls who were forced to watch hardcore pornography online by their father. The present Texas state law concerning indecency makes it difficult to prosecute parents who show their children harmful material, however, prosecutors have found a way to hold this father accountable for his actions by charging him with two counts of child endangerment.
- Continue to pray for justice in this case and a rethinking of this law, which was initially intended to protect the privacy of parents who want to teach their children about sex.
- And please keep the 8- and 9-year-old daughters of this man held very close in prayer. Pray that God would bring healing and peace and innocence back into their lives.

Yemen
- Please continue to pray for the large number of girls in Yemen who are forced into early marriages before their bodies are mature enough to bear children.
- Pray that proposed legislation to make it illegal for those under the age of 17 to marry will be adopted. Pray that influential Islamic leaders who are speaking out against this new law will recognize the harm early marriages can do to young girls and reverse their opinions.
