Prayer Requests for January 4, 2009

Burma

  • Please pray for the ethnic hill tribe children and people of Burma who suffer such persecution at the hands of the Burma Army and government. Pray for the leaders of this country—that God might be at work in their lives in strong and powerful ways. Pray for a change of heart in this leadership—that they will recognize the sovereignty of God and surrender to God.
  • Pray for all of those working on behalf of the ethnic hill tribe children and people of Burma, and especially for those with Free Burma Rangers and Partners Relief and Development. (http://www.freeburmarangers.org/ http://partnersworld.org/usa/)

  • Pray for the 5 million children under age five who are affected by food insecurity in six countries around the Horn of Africa, including Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, parts of Uganda, and Kenya. Peter sleeps outside for 40 nights every year (he lives in Minnesota) to help raise awareness of and funds for homeless families.
