Colombia
- Please pray for the children of Colombia affected by the flooding in their country. Nearly 1 million people have been affected by widespread flooding following months of heavy rains.
- Pray for children who were already food insecure before this massive flooding. More than 94 percent of the indigenous population of the western province of Choco was food insecure before the floods began.
- Pray for families who lost livelihoods because of the flooding. Pray that God will provide the resources these children and families require to survive this disaster.

India (Youth With A Mission [YWAM] -- http://www.ywam.org)
- Please pray for God’s guidance for the staff and leadership of King’s Kids South Asia, a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), as they begin planning for a large conference for children and teenagers in Northeast India. Several thousand children are expected to attend this conference to be held in January 2010.
- Pray that God will provide the right speakers, worship leaders, intercessors, workshop leaders and workshop topics for this conference. Pray that God will also provide the resources needed to hold this event.
- Pray that many teams will come from other countries to help with this conference.
Please pray in advance for the children God will lead to this conference. Pray for those who are marginal Christians and for those who do not know about Jesus Christ’s saving grace.
United States
- Please pray for a family in crisis: 17-year-old Laura*, 15-year-old David* and their parents. Both siblings have rebelled against their parents’ authority to an extremely dangerous degree and made decisions that have put them and others at great risk. Pray that God will provide these parents with wisdom, courage, discernment and calm as they deal with their defiant children.
- Pray for Laura and David to find healthier ways of expressing their independence. Pray that their relationships with Jesus Christ might be deepened and mature during this tumultuous time.
- Give thanks to God for answered prayers concerning 1-year-old Josiah and his foster family. Josiah’s foster parents have wanted to adopt him for some time, but Josiah’s biological father wanted custody for financial reasons.
- Thanks be to God that Josiah’s foster parents will be able to adopt him now that the biological father has given up parental rights. Josiah’s adoption should be final in March. Please continue to pray for this family and for Josiah’s biological father as they seek to do what is best for Josiah.
- Thank God for also answering prayers regarding 1-year-old Grace and her foster family. Her foster parents would like to adopt Grace but her birth grandmother also wants custody. Grace was placed with her foster family when she was four days old and knows no other parents.
- Give thanks to God that the court date to determine Grace’s permanent placement has been postponed past the one year mark when Grace came to stay with the foster family. This will allow the foster parents to hire an attorney to represent them in court.
- Please continue to pray that everyone involved with this case will be guided by what is in Grace’s best interest. Continue to pray for the social workers, legal personnel, the judge, and the child advocates.
- Pray for healing and peace for Grace’s birth family which has a history of substance abuse, domestic violence, child neglect/abuse, and imprisonment.
- And give God thanks for answering prayers for 2-year-old Irene* and 4-year-old Victoria* who are in foster care and have special medical needs. There is a possible adoptive home for the girls in a large metropolitan area where they would have access to excellent medical care.
- Pray that God will guide this family as they make a decision about adopting Irene and Victoria. Pray that the girls will be placed in the right, loving home for them.
Pray that Irene and Victoria will make progress with their mental and physical development this year.
