Philippines
- Please pray for the children and people of the Philippines who have lost family, friends, homes, schools, businesses and livelihoods in the aftermath of Typhoon Fengshen. An estimated 224 people have been killed and hundreds are still missing.
- Pray that aid will continue to reach the hardest hit areas and humanitarian and government groups may have enough supplies to meet the needs of the victims.

Iraq, Jordan, Syria
- Please be in prayer for displaced children and families in Iraq and those who are refugees in neighboring Jordan and Syria.
- Pray for these vulnerable families as they search for a safe place to raise their children and enroll them in school.
- Pray for children who are unable to attend school and for girl children who are forced into prostitution to help support their families.
- Pray for displaced Iraqi youth who are angry and at risk of being manipulated by militia recruiters.
United States
- Please be in prayer for the children of U.S. military personnel serving overseas. Pray for those children and families who have lost a loved one in Iraq or Afghanistan. Pray for all children of military personnel around the world. Pray for children who are forced to serve as soldiers in armed conflicts around the globe.
- Pray for 1-year-old Emelyn whose young mother died of an aggressive form of cancer last week. Pray that her father, who lost his job recently, will be able to provide for Emelyn’s emotional and physical needs. Give thanks to God for their extended family who have been very supportive. Pray that they will continue to show God’s love and strength to Emelyn and her father during their season of sorrow.
- Please be in prayer for 9-year-old Jackie who is in her third adoption placement. Pray that God will comfort her and help her understand that she is not a failure just because the first two adoption placements failed.
- Pray for her adoptive family as they all adjust to this new situation and experience. Pray that God will bless them with patience, wisdom and the knowledge of how best to parent this troubled young girl.
- Give thanks to God that all of the Chin (Burma ethnic hill tribe) refugee children and adults were able to escape safely when their apartments caught on fire last Sunday morning.
- Please pray for these families, many with babies and small children, who moved to the United States from refugee camps in Southeast Asia with very little and have now lost everything but the clothes on their backs.
- Thanks be to God for the faithfulness of this group of refugees. Despite losing their worship and church materials in the fire, they gathered to worship, sing praises and thank God for their safety.
- Thank God for people in local churches and the community who have come forward to help these families and others who lost so much in the early morning fire.
