Burma/Myanmar – Pray for the mothers and newborns in Burma and Partners, a ministry providing maternal health care training. The mortality rate for children under 5 in eastern Burma is 221 per 1,000 live births compared to a mortality rate for children under 5 in the rest of Burma of 106 and, just across the border in Thailand, the rate is 21 deaths per 1,000 live births. Pray that training will help infants and mothers survive under the horrible conditions in which they are forced to give birth and live their lives. Please pray that God will make a difference in the lives of the refugees and internally displaced children and families of Burma.
China – Pray for North Korean children who are in shelters and in hiding in China. Pray for their health, safety and education. Pray for God’s protection and provisions. Pray for the caregivers that they will have the wisdom to raise the children to know God’s love.
North Korea – Pray for children whose parents are in prison, many times unjustly incarcerated. Pray for food, shelter, clothing and health for these children. Pray that angels watch over them and that they will come to know the love of Jesus Christ.
Thailand – Please pray for the W. family and the orphan girls whom they take into their home and treat as family members. The Landlord has sold their rented house and they must move. Please, pray for a new home in a suitable location that will accommodate the needs for the Hope House Ministry. Pray for expediency in locating a house and processing documents. Please pray that 2 new girls who have come to Hope House will be allowed to enroll in school.
Thailand - Pray for a 17 year old girl who just left prostitution because of medical problems resulting from her work. Thank God that she found help through a ministry that loves and cares for her. The ministry provides honorable work for prostituted females transiting into a new life. Pray for this 17 year old and those still working in the bar that recruits primarily 17 to 19 year olds. Pray for their rescue, healing and restoration. Pray that they will come to know Jesus Christ as Redeemer and Savior.
Thailand – Pray for the release of K K who is held as a captive by her employer. This young girl was taken out of school so that she could work to help supplement family income. KK’s employer makes her work extremely long hours and will not allow her to leave. Pray for KK and other young girls who are over worked, poorly treated and denied an education.
